Sparganium eurycarpum

A tall grass-like emergent wetland plant (60–150 cm) with stiff iris-like leaves and distinctive spiky round flower/seed heads on branched stems — looking like small green mace balls. Forms dense colonies in pond margins and slow streams. Seeds are important waterfowl food.
