Common Yellow Wood Sorrel
Oxalis stricta
Clover-like leaflets that fold shut at night and small bright-yellow five-petaled flowers through summer and fall. Leaves and flowers are edible raw in small amounts — pleasantly sour from oxalic acid. Consume sparingly: large quantities interfere with calcium absorption.
