Monotropa uniflora
A striking ghost-white plant without any chlorophyll — entirely parasitic on mycorrhizal fungi that connect to tree roots. Single nodding bell-flowers top translucent white stems 10–25 cm tall, turning black as they dry. Sometimes called Ghost Plant or Corpse Plant. Appears briefly in mid-summer under dense conifer shade after rain.
