Athyrium filix-femina
A graceful, finely-divided native fern of Alberta's moist forests and streambanks — lacier and more delicate than Ostrich Fern. Vase-shaped clumps 60–100 cm tall with pale green fronds that turn golden in fall. Spreads slowly by rhizomes. One of the most garden-worthy native ferns for shaded, moist beds.
