A trailing epiphyte from Southeast Asian rainforests, with waxy deep green leaves and tubular red flowers that emerge from dark maroon calyxes — the reason for its common name. Give it bright indirect light, humidity, and let the soil dry slightly between waterings to trigger blooms.
