Northern Goldenrod

Solidago multiradiata

A compact alpine and subalpine goldenrod of Alberta's Rockies, reaching only 10–40 cm tall with flat-topped golden flower clusters from July to September. Unlike taller prairie goldenrods, this mountain species is well-behaved in the garden and stunning in rock gardens. Exceptionally drought- and wind-tolerant; a late-season pollinator magnet.
