Anaphalis margaritacea
A silver-leaved perennial of Alberta's open meadows, roadsides, and burn sites. Clusters of small papery-white 'eternity' flower heads with yellow centres persist as dried flowers long after bloom — a favourite for dried arrangements. Spreads politely by rhizome. Host plant for American Painted Lady butterfly caterpillars.
