Queen's Cup

Clintonia uniflora

Also called Bride's Bonnet or Bead Lily. A low clonal woodland perennial of Alberta's SW mountain forests, with 2–3 broad oval leaves and a single delicate white 6-petaled flower on a short stem. Later produces a single striking bright-blue berry (inedible, mildly toxic). Spreads slowly by rhizome to form carpets.
