Rosy Pussytoes

Antennaria rosea

A compact prairie and alpine perennial forming silver mats of small basal leaves, with pink-tipped fuzzy flower clusters (the 'pussytoes') atop short stems. Several closely-related species exist across Alberta (A. parvifolia, A. microphylla, A. neglecta). All are excellent drought-tolerant groundcovers for xeriscape gardens.
