Dodecatheon pulchellum
One of the most distinctive wildflowers of Alberta's moist meadows — deep pink backward-swept petals form a shooting-star shape with the yellow-tipped stamens pointing forward. Rosette of basal leaves below. Goes dormant in mid-summer. Found in foothills meadows and mountain parklands.
