Symphyotrichum laeve
A late-season stalwart of the prairie — smooth, waxy-blue stems and leaves topped with clouds of sky-blue daisy flowers with yellow centres from August into frost. A critical late nectar source for migrating monarchs and native bees prepping for winter. Drought-tolerant and deer-resistant.
