Star-flowered False Solomon's Seal

Maianthemum stellatum

A smaller relative of False Solomon's Seal with star-shaped white flowers in sparser clusters and green-to-black striped berries that eventually ripen dark. Spreads via rhizomes to form loose colonies. Found in moist woodlands, riverbanks, and sand dunes across Alberta. An excellent native groundcover for semi-shaded spots.
