Western Canada Violet

Viola canadensis

A tall native woodland violet (up to 40 cm) with heart-shaped leaves and white flowers with yellow throats and purple pencil-line veining on the lower petals. Sometimes backed with purple on the petals' underside. Spreads politely by rhizomes to form loose colonies in moist forest understory.
