A blue-green sod-forming perennial grass and a dominant species of Alberta's mixed-grass prairie. Spreads via deep rhizomes to form solid stands — one of the best natives for slope stabilization and dryland cover crop. Tolerates clay, alkalinity, and drought exceptionally well.
