Also known as Silverberry — one of Alberta's most fragrant native shrubs. Tiny pale yellow flowers in May perfume entire meadows with an unforgettable sweet scent. Silver-grey leaves and mealy silver berries are edible and nutritious. Fixes nitrogen, improving soil.
