Showy Aster

Eurybia conspicua

A woodland aster (formerly Aster conspicuus) of open aspen groves and parkland edges, reaching 40–80 cm tall. Large clusters of bright blue-violet daisy flowers on sticky-glandular stems in late summer. Among the most garden-worthy of Alberta's native asters for part-shade settings.
