Showy Jacob's Ladder
Polemonium pulcherrimum
A compact mountain wildflower with ladder-like leaflets and dense clusters of sky-blue bell-shaped flowers with bright yellow centres. Thrives on rocky slopes and meadows in Alberta's Rockies and foothills. An important early nectar source for bumblebees at higher elevations.
